PFD reserve engines

alright since sometime last week i noticed 2 older looking engines in the bays at #3. One of them looked like the old E3 and the other looked like the old E4, anybody have an idea why they would 2 reserves in the station and not at city garage?

They sit outside at the garage and get weathered vs. housing them in a fire station out of the elements. #3 probably had the bay space to house both of them. The reserve ladder is at #12.

i would think that #4 would have the bay space only 4 units there just like #3

#4 houses reserves in the base of the water tower out front of the station.

just out of curiousity what reserves do they house there?

I'm not sure which reserve engine are there now since the trucks have been placed in service and a lot of the older reserves were taken out of service and newer engines were moved to reserve status.
