phase-2 systems

i read a post from California saying they have a phase-2 system running and the GRE-800 would not decode the system is it true? i was looking to buy the GRE-900 soon but if it dont work on a phase-2 system its not worth buying.i did try to find that post before i did this and could not find it incase someone tells me i should of not did this post here.

Dave,

Short answer, it's true. The GRE - 800 won't decode a true Phase-2 system.

But, it's possible that a future firmware update may allow it. GRE won't make those claims until it can test against a Phase-2 system.
