Phase 2 systems

Santa decided I was a good boy this year and made an almost $600 purchase of a Uniden Home Patrol 1

Couple a questions need some help from the scanner pros out there

1. I'm in the South Jersey Area which is going 700Mhz. on APCO Phase 2 system "proposed" for February 2013 -- Will the HP-1 be able to monitor those systems ?

2. With Regards to Philadelphia.....Will it monitor the Systems for PFD and PPD ?

Basically looking to see what type of systems I can expect to monitor between say Trenton NJ to Wilmington Delaware


Finally did santa purchase a $600 paper weight ?

From what I understand, the Home Patrol isn't able to be upgraded to handle P25 Phase 2.

Currently there is no Uniden model that can handle Phase 2...only the GRE model PSR-800 can (with the firmware update) Mike
