Hey everyone, does PHI still use the VHF frequencies listed in the database? I had an old icom vhf radio sitting in my room and I have had it on the PHI 1 Conroe frequency and haven't heard anything in a week. Just curious if I was monitoring a dead frequency or if anyone knew what was going on. Thanks.

They use PHI Med 5 every day in the Houston area. Maybe they are not using the simplex channels as much anymore. The dispatches I hear on 5 are for all over the region.

See if you are near one of the unconfirmed frequencies that are not in the database Medevac (TX) - The RadioReference Wiki

Im in Conroe so the nearest one is Bryan which I pass through sometimes, Ill keep that one in a scan list and see if I hear anything on it.

Thanks for letting me know. I will monitor PHI Med 5 for a few days and see if I pick anything up in Conroe.
