• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I have been monitoring this system for a while and here are my results during that period:

System: 8C3F
Base: 406.0000
Step: 12.5
Offset: 380

Frequencies In Use:
406.6125 (control channel - rotates)
407.0125 (control channel - rotates)
408.3750
411.1250
412.5500

I have confirmed the following digital talkgroups to be in use at this prison:

144
208
272
496
560

The radio traffic is not real heavy on this system. They make heavy use of talkgroup patches, many times having all five of these talkgroups patched together. Comms are related to misc. operations in the prison. I was not able to determine a specific name or use for the talkgroups.

Any help in naming the talkgroups would be appreciated!
