Good tropo opening here in North TX this morning.
I'm picking up a new to me P25 system.
WACN BEE00 SYSID 6CE which is not in the database.
At least two sites. Both have NAC 6C2. Not simulcast.
It appears to be way NW of Wichita Falls, TX. Maybe NM or CO. I was receiving other stuff from the TX Panhandle. I know it's not Amarillo.
It appears to be a large city or county.
One site has 16 channels and a lot of traffic and active talkgroups for a Sunday morning.
I'm not able to listen to it, can only run Unitrunker.

Site 1 and 2 may be WNMC666 - Phillips 66 Communications Inc - Borger And Phillips TX (both in Hutchison Co)

I'm betting they changed system IDs for TX to 6C2 instead of having the whole multi-state system under one system ID (581). Just my guess.

  • All 16 of the freqs on your Site 1 are part of WNMC666 for Borger TX (Hutchison) -- 29 freqs licensed - WRB Phillips 66 Borger Refinery
  • All 5 of the freqs on your Site 2 are part of WNMC666 for Phillips TX (Hutcishon) -- 5 freqs licensed - Johnson Tank Farm

That's probably it. It was sending BSI all the time but never showed a callsign.

I see that in the changes section of the DB for that Phillips system, one other site was recently changed from 098 to 010 or something like that. Would not surprise me if they are re-arranging things. Hopefully the people who monitor all of those different sites in those separate states keep an eye on them and look out for any changes in System ID / Site ID. I'd feel pretty confident that Phillips is what you copied, and that it differs from the DB simply because they changed System / Site ID for the TX sites. I don't know if you'd be comfortable submitting that as an update to the system or not. I personally would have no qualms, but I everyone is different.

I could not find any other thread on RR that looked better for this information. If it's already with you, I was going to use the "report" function on this thread to request that it be moved to the Multi-State forum and have the subject changed to the system name inat is in the database, with the hopes that it would gain some additional attention by others who have submitted info for the other sites. Of course you could do that also. Just thinking of the best way to make it so that this very useful information isn't ignored down the road.
