Looking for someone that monitors Philly Fire Dept. radio. Need serious advice.

If you look on the live audio area if is not there then you no is monitor that system or broadcasting it. But you can with a scanner.

Was wondering what was needed as far as a specific scanner model and also what can be heard. Could I use that same scanner for Mont. County as well ? I was looking at the pro-106 from the Shack but if it won't receive Philly and Mont Co. I was going to pass on it.

Pro-106 working on Philly & Mont.Co. system.
The pro-106 will work fine on both systems. Philly is all digital and Mont. Co. is mixed mode.( Both digital & analog). Both use a 3600 baud control channel.

any digital trunking scanner will RX the philly TRS,
police district to district is open to monitor,fire is
half n half,the fireground north and south are both
encrypted,medic and fire disptch are clear
the narco and ops on the pd side are also encrypted..
but the city of philly has a high crime rate.there is alot
to hear,domestics,gunshots,shootings,robberies,auto
thefts/and some chases if the sups dont call it off too quick..
if you live in range of the sustem its a good purchase to go 'digi..
be sure toget the philadelphia area communications guide ,
