I am occasionally in Philly and am considering adding Philly to my scanner. A few questions:

-I thought I saw on another post that I only really need System 2 if I am only interested in Police/Fire.....True/false?

-I have a BC325p2.....Do I need to add that custom trucking table I see in the DB?

If by "System 2" you mean the Zone 1 and Zone 2, then yes you'll need both. Zone 1 is specifically for the PFD and Airport Ops. Zone 2 carries the PPD and other city services. If you have a Uniden BCD325P2 you will not need to input that custom trunking table.

Hi Jim,

Talkgroups that affiliate to System 1 are the PFD, Philadelphia International Airport, Municipal Services, and most other users. Talkgroups that affiliate to System 2 are the Philadelphia Police and Housing Police. It would be best to program the scanner into 2 systems instead of putting all of the control channels into one.
