I will be heading to Phoenix next month. Wondering if anyone has a up to date p96 file or Win 500 file for the area. Also a bit confused, after looking over the data base. Does the FD use 800 mhz or not? Thanks.

FD is simulcasted on 800 (not always but usually) however they will still be using the VHF band for a few more years. When they do go onto the TRS it will probably be digital in the 700 MHz band - that seemed to fare the best in testing.

Since you've got win96/win500 and a premium membership just jump on the webservice and grab what you need. The info here is more current than the few p96 files I've seen floating around out there.

You'll want PRWN sites A, B and the airport site, PFD conventional, MCSO, DPS, newsmedia and the airevac freqs. Depending on where you're staying you might also want Sites C & D if you'll be on the east side of the valley and E for the west. You may also be close enough to Luke AFB and Glendale to pull them in.

We've got lots to listen to out here. Your scanner will stay quite busy. ;)

AZScanner,

Thanks for the info. Gives me what to look for. I have already started a program via RR database.
