Phoenix Police new precinct boundaries

I was looking at the Phoenix PD website and i saw a link for the new precinct boundaries. They are adding two new precincts, Northern Precinct 200, and Estrella Mountian Precinct 300. They take affect July 12, 2010

Dose anyone know of the talkgroup id's for there two new precincts.

Who is using A1. B1, and C1? I assume the 2 set is used by Northern, and the 3 Set is used by Estrella Mountain Precinct.

A1 and A2 are just used for in precinct talk traffic or when PD got MDT updates they used those for training. I don't think they're adding any channels or are going to be using anything different than now. 300 will still be dispatched on whatever channel that area is going to be in.

Just when I think I have something figured out, I get confused again.....
I don't get it....There is a Simulcast A, B, and C. So when talk about A1 and A2 and A3 - what is that? How do you know where to add the new talk groups? I just have ABC.....

A1, 2,3 etc are channels that Phoenix PD uses. The have ABCD etc decks and that's the channel structure they use.

C2=2966, C3=2965, B2=2808, B3=2807, A2=2811, A3=2810.

Channel usage used to be A primary, B secondary and C tactical but now for example 400A is north and 400B is south, or in 900/200 case it's 900/200A is north of Peoria ave and 900/200B is south or Peoria ave and C is still tactical channel.

Thanks astrak it is starting to make more sense now. so 200 is not listed in the database, so I should program in those talkgroups, but I'm not exactly sure where I should put them.....and this is a real nooby question,but i will ask it anyway. do all the talk groups and frequencies have to be programmed in for each section - such as white tanks, quintero, tempe.....OR should I just download the data base and that's good enough? Do you change anything when you download it? I would love to see how you have phoenix set up.

Simulcast A will broadcast all Phoenix PD, while the other simulcasts will broadcast maybe some Phoenix PD and other PD's/users. You can program all the talkgroups under each simulcast if you want, but you probably won't hear them all unless you are listening to simulcast A.

What type of scanner do you have? I have the RS 197, so I could send you a WIN500 file and you could look at that.

So what is Private and the numbers after that?

Oh my gosh, this is way beyond my level of knowledge....I just thought you create a system, say PRC, then enter all the frequencies, then enter all the groups and that's it.....

does anyone on here have phoenix set up with free scan that they could email a file to me to look at? Astrak, thank you for showing that too me....oh my.

Private is just a radio ID that I have alpha tagged you don't have to pay attention to those. PSAP is Public Safety Answering Point it's how all the dispatch centers contact each other and ARID is Automatic Radio ID which is just what WIN500 calls a radio ID when the Automatically log radio ID's box is checked you can ignore that also.
