WT is walking team
T is Tanker
CARE what Tempe calls their CR Van
All Fire Dept units that carry Paramedics have an + after the unit number, except the Ambos R is BLS and M is Paramedic
BR is Brush Truck
The rest look like computer codes.

That’s all I have off the top of my head.

In a different thread, WIS262 posted an excellent list. Can anyone confirm/clarify/correct the following additional ones:

AR - Alternative Response Van No longer used, now known as CR (Crisis Response) & VS (Victim Services). Tempe has VS276 that is separate than CARE7. PHX CR vans that deal with PD matters only may be changed as well.
AST - Air Stair
AT - Attack Truck
ATK - Airport Truck? - Not used
BD - Brush Support - Not used
CARE - (unknown) - CARE7 is city of tempe crisis care, not a fire or pd unit. Separate city resourced that PHX dispatches.
EP - Paramedic Engine - You may still see EP on the side of some rigs, but no longer an official ID or term.
EQ - Equipment Truck Not used
FT - Foam Tender Not used
P - Pump? Not used, but you may hear Pump-36 to Engine 36. That is the engineer of E36 talking to the Captain on Fire Ground.
PM - Paramedic Unit Not used
PS - Paramedic Supervisor Not used
PV - Prevention
RE - Reserve Engine Not used
RIC - Rapid Intervention Crew - Not used as a unit ID or capability.
RIV - Rapid Intervention Vehicle Not used
RP - Rescue Paramedic Not used
RT - Reserve Tender Not used
SE - Special Event
SI - Special Incident Special Investigations (SI272, has lab on board)
TR - Trench Rescue Not used
TRV - Transition Response Vehicle - Most have moved to either LA for Low Acuity or MR for Medical Response. Other cities outside of the PFDRDC still use this
W - Wagon Not used
WT - Water Tanker or Walking Team or Water Rescue Team? Walking Team

Thanks for your corrections. I have recently seen ATK on an airport situation and I see W often.
There isn't an 'ATK' unit in our system. AST19, AT19, BC19, DC19, MS19, SKY2, SKY3, SKY41, SKY42, SQ19, U29, R19, F1, F2, F3, E19, E29, E16.

W- (W with a dash) is a Southwest Ambulance unit that hasn't switched to become an AMR Ambulance in CAD (AM-).

We don't have a 'W' unit. What you're seeing is probably the Southwest Ambulance. When we had Hose Wagon 58, it was H58. Long been out of service.

I was always under the impression that a "rescue" was staffed by cross trained personnel (FF/EMT) and a medic or ambulance was EMT or Medic only

(W-) Southwest Ambulance: Private Company EMT & Private Company EMT and/or Paramedic
(P-) PMT Ambulance: Private Company EMT & Private Company EMT and/or Paramedic
(AM-) AMR Ambulance: Private Company EMT & Private Company EMT and/or Paramedic
