I got a submission an individual visited Piatt County four times in the last month and never heard a single transmission on any of the sheriff NXDN repeaters.

Maybe they moved to this? To be compatible with DeWitt County?

3/24 modification to KCO839, adding: 1/4/5 151.4675R (100W)/158.8275 32-60W mobiles (P25 only) (assumed new countywide simulcast for Sheriff)

Piatt Sheriff’s went to P25 and I believe they added new towers as well.

No, Piatt county is now using encrypted radios. I would think the Chief Deputy would know what they have.

No they don't always know what they are using. I've talk to lot of people who are either wrong or misinformed in general about their radio systems.

Although, the fact is more than likely that they are encrypted anyway

My scanner RS Pro 652 will not pick up NXDN. But thanks for the reply. I’m about ready to buy a new one.

I don’t think any systems in the piatt area are NXDN. As least not in Piatt, Champaign, Douglas, or McLean. Once piatt switched I think that was the last one.
