Anyone know if they have started using a 380mhz system there? For years they used vhf for comms, but recently on a trip across route 80 to PA, I picked up some activity on 380mhz not to far away from where picatinny is. I know the elevation is high up there so it could have been something from ny or further down in NJ, juwst thought someone in the area might know.

are you talking 380 mhz for PD and Fire or other operations? I monitor Pica FD & PD on VHF analog but have been told they will be going atleast P25 digital soon. PD May go encrypted but doubt it. I am not sure about Pica FD going digital but was told thats possible also. We shall see.
