It's not underpowered. They use enough power to cover the County and that's it.

My comment you can take with a grain of salt, Scott. just a pun...... I have heard it several times and sounds good overall I have several of the talkgroups in my 796D,

BTW Those COde 3's are still for sale if you wanna buy them....    No I don't do donations either

Awwwww Shucks.

I wish I had the $$$ to buy them. But... I think I might get the FDNY Engine 34 ALF rig. I saw that rig a few years back while it was heading down I-71 and I was heading to Columbus for an FPO Dispatchers meeting.

The system has a bit of both, provoice and analog, on a bad day i'll lose the control channel and i'm in the NE part of pickaway. I've got a discone up about 35 ft from ground level. We're contemplating adding 4 more antennas at the ne/se/nw/sw parts of the county which might help you to pick it up but with the whole nextel thing, god only knows when and the radios will all need to be reprogrammed with new freqs.

I just bought the Radioshack 800Mhz antenna. It is a really good antenna if you plan on listening to MARCS or any 800 system. I can pick up Perry county's control channel in my dining room with that antenna. It is probably 60% to 40% on the reception scale, but I'm suprised I can even pick it up. I recomend getting it Shawn. :D
