Basically all they should be doing is dropping 15 MHz lower in frequency. Keep an eye on their FCC licensing for any changes.

I prefer to check the FCC site directly here.

Here is their current licensed frequencies. I am not seeing
any new ones issued yet.

You should keep an eye on Tom Swisher's excellent webpage for
Central Ohio. He'll find out about any change before anyone else.

Most of the origional radios purchased CAN NOT support the step down. The few radios that are able to take the new frequencies are simply being reprogrammed. All of this is being paid for by sprint/ nextel.

Two months have pass still no rebanding here in Pickaway county. Any news anyone?

It's going to take awhile, since portables have to be replaced, old mobiles removed and new ones installed, etc. Like an earlier commenter mentioned, when your scanner goes silent, you'll know.

Rebanding is not graven in stone, so what you read today may not be what actually happens, for a variety of reasons. When the new frequencies go live, you'll know.

Be patient.

I programed in 852.6250 and set on it for at least in hour last night and I did here something but it was not Pickaway County. It sounded like a business talking about a parking lot I think it was in Columbus.

I heard an incident last night on the current set which included Williamsport and Clear Creek working somewhere in or near the city. Fairfield county toned out someone as mutual aide as well, unfortunately I caught the tail end of the incident.

What am I hearing right now at 2:00 PM it is not Pickaway. My scanner is saying the ID is SO TAC 6. Is anyone else hearing this? They were talking about bringing in the robot! Sould it be some kind of skip?
