Picked up DNR officer from 60 miles away?

I just heard a transmission from a DNR North officer (TG 912) that indicated to dispatch he was in Monticello, IN. I picked up the transmission from Safe-T Site 101 (Indianapolis). I have a couple of questions:

1. Does anyone know where the dispatch is located for the DNR North Region?

2. I am assuming that the DNR North Region is simulcasting their radio transmissions on the Indy site. Is this a correct assumption?

I was surprised to hear the officer from Monticello. Monticello is 60 miles from my home.

Most probally. I only say this because it's Marion County. South Region which is in Bloomington, Simulcasts on all South Region District's that have sites. I can hear all South Region Officers from Versailles.

However, Marion County is In South Region, not North. For more info on how this is being done see my reply to your other post

Picked up DNR Boat Patrol 60 miles away!

I live near Noblesville and heard a similar transmission. I must have heard it through the Pendleton site because I did not have the Indy site active at the time. TG 912 is analog and I didn't realize analog TGs were linked to other sites too.

I have recently heard DNR up on Lake Michigan and also down on the Ohio River near the Kentucky state line near Boone County (KY). All these transmissions took place on the analog talk groups.
