Pickens County SO

I am using a Radio Shack Pro 2052 and have been for years. I have noticed recently that the Pickens County Sheriffs Office is no longer coming over. I have check the database and can't tell that the frequency has changed. Does anyone have any info?

I live in Central and still receive Pickens County as usual, it must be your radio. Is Pickens County the only frequency that you are not receiving?

That is the only frequency that I am not getting. Everything else works fine.

Is it locked out somehow ?

This is one of the ones which actually comes in real strong all of the time for me.
I know that on my old scanner I would occasionally accidentally L/O a freq which I didn't intend to.

Are you actually in Pickens County ?

I do live in Pickens County, and I use a Radio Shack Pro 197 for monitoring. I am not familiar with the Pro-2052, but you can check out this manual Easier to Read Pro 2052 Scanner Manual it may help you unlock it.

Must be a problem with my scanner. The channel is not locked out and if I just monitor that channel I still never hear anything. Thanks for your help

Do all the other frequencies work? If so, uninstall Pickens County then reinstall it maybe in a different channel number.

It might be possible that the 2052 has the DATA SKIP feature turned on. Press the DATA SKIP button several times during scanning and see if it allows reception. The reason I know this is that I have two 2052s and three grandchildren.

If that's not it, follow Mike's advice and try the frequency on another channel or even in another bank. These radios are hinky sometimes, but I love my two.
