Wondering if anyone in Durham could let me know what TG Pickering dispatches off of, its not in the Database, just the Tac channels are, but i know that Clarington dispatches off a different frequency then the Durham System...does pickering do the same...either way if anyone has the Freq. or TG of Pickering Dispatch that would be awesome

THanks in Advance

2480 Ajax/Pickering Fire Dispatch
2512 Ajax/Pickering Alert

Ajax and Pickering dispatch off the same TG, just like Oshawa and Whitby dispatch off the same TG 16.

Try this one from the Durham analog database, I haven't heard it in a few days but it is where I often hear Pickering as well as the northern areas of the region dispatched.

153.86000 Fire - Northern Dispatch FM

I should add that they still have their own dispatchers, so you will hear two different voices. As soon as the call is dispatched, they switch to their respective TAC 1. They are in the process of completing their MOSCAD alert system, so you'll notice sometimes that the alert will go out and they will automatically go to TAC1 for the calls.

They have been making changes in the normal routines and I wanted to monitor things to makesure that that was the case. The only time I really get to monitor the Durham TG's is on the weekends and they have been very busy on the weekends.

The old VHF channels I had for the Fire departments in Durham have all gone silent, with the exception of Clarington and the old Whitby channel which is now paging and legacy. The old Durham Region VHF channel is still used for areas to the north.

I remember reading somewhere, that once southern Durham had moved to the trunk, that the 150 Mhz channels would be transfered to GMCP. With the exception of 3 that have allocations in New York as well.

I just did another search on IC TAFL and there are now, only 5 licenced VHF frequencies to the City of Oshawa.

153.125000 Clarington Dispatch
153.860000 Durham Region Wide Dispatch
154.070000 Provincial Fire
162.615000 Whitby Paging (monthly page testing) and
156.000000 in Whitby, which I don't remember seeing before.

The last two for Whitby are TX only. All now licenced to The Corporation of the City of Oshawa - Accounts Payable. I had another 3 on my list used by Pickering, Ajax and Oshawa and they have since disappeared from the IC database.

So is 153.86 in use any more or not? If not, what does #4 Claremont use - trunk system?

My father was a station captain at #3 in Brougham for 10 years back in my youth, and I still have his old pager and scanner. I came back in '02 for a visit and the station had been closed down.. Sad..

153.86 is still in use, but the north departments. Claremonnnt, Port Perry and others up there still use it.

I confirmed last night that Oshawa and Whitby are dispatching on the same TG and both are MOSCAD'ing on the same TG as well.

I am almost positive that Ajax and Pickering are doing the same.

I have sent in some datebase changes for the Durham trunk system.
