OK, thanks. I saw a COPS episode from a few years back and it looked like they had Open Sky Speaker Mics, but the radios that the officers had looked like the old M-PAs. Just wondering!

Open Sky is M/A-COM's proprietary 800 MHZ TDMA trunking system.

It is based heavaly on CDPD Architechure and uses a version of IMBE for the vocoder. It has both a 2:1 and a 4:1 mode.
