Anybody know if it's possible to monitor PCSO with a BC785D?
They use a MultiNet II LTR system. ANy mods or hacks that will allow
this scanner to listen?

Thanks

You can try LTRTrunk: http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=74

I've heard that it works on PCSO. If so, can you let us know?

AZScanner is right. LTrunk does work on PCSO (I watched a Tucson resident operate it flawlessly). The 785D does not work as MultiNet II is not "LTR", it's "Enhanced LTR". There are currently no scanners for "Enhanced LTR" / MultiNet. That's where the LTrunk software comes in.

So if I get it to work with LTRtrunk, does that mean that I would have to have my computer hooked up to the scanner, and hear the radio only through the computer?

LTRtrunk works just like Trunker. A discriminator tap on one scanner feeds the status channel to a data slicer, subaudible filtered in this case. The slicer output goes to the computer serial port. The serial port is also connected to a second computer controllable scanner which tracks the system and provides audio directly, not through the computer.

Hmmm ... Sounds very cumbersome and impractical
for a mobile setup ... Darn!
