A few EMS and FD frequencies seem to be missing from the database as of late..
A few years ago pine plains ny EMS and FD frequencies where in the RR datebase... Now completely no mention of them...
Question... Is this normal? Can a department ask to be removed?? (Not sure why)
Is it possible they could be in a different area of the database?? If so...where?
That said... Does anyone know what the frequencies area for Pine plains EMS and FD???

I don’t recall seeing a private frequency for Pine Plains Fire. I’ve seen a lot of programming for nearby departments and have never seen anything labeled for Pine Plains. I’ve also never caught anything on the county channels that would lead me to believe that they are using a private frequency. That certainly doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist. They are not the busiest department and I may have completely missed it for the past 30 years.

They don’t seem to have anything licensed themselves so a leased channel from a dealer is the next place to look.

In general they use Dutchess 911 Fireground 13/14 or 11/12 as assigned by the 911 center for working incidents. Or the assigned Conmand channel and Fireground for mutual aid into Columbia County. Those frequencies are all listed in the database.

If you are pretty sure there is a private frequency for Pine Plains, I’ll start to look harder.

A department can not have a listing removed. RRDB listings are generally deleted only based on a submission confirming the listed frequency is no longer in use.

In the case of a Fire or EMS listing, it is commonly due to the department going to use of a countywide vs their individual frequency.

I see no record of any FCC licenses for Pine Plains Fire or EMS so they are probably now operating on the County system.

I'm not sure where you think you saw any frequencies for Pine Plains, but I just went through 20 years worth of history for Dutchess County and there wasn't a single mention of Pine Plains. Perhaps you're thinking of another site that had something listed, but it wasn't the RRDB, that's for sure. And no, nothing was removed.

To avoid any confusion, there is no Dutchess County "system". Some public safety agencies operate on NYCOMCO's EDACS system, and eventually Dutchess will build out a P25 system of their own, but nothing current.

EDIT: Unless @k2hz was referring to the county's conventional channels. Just want to make sure no one was reading it wrong that there was a countywide trunked system in use.

My use of the word "system" referred generically to county 911 system dispatch frequencies not necessarily a trunked system. Probably a poor choice of word in this context. So, I meant operating on county frequencies vs frequencies licensed to the individual department.

FWIW.. Pine Plains FD did have a talkgroup on an LTR system many years ago. IIRC the school district was on the same LTR system. This was at least back in 2007/2008. I believe the LTR system was owned by A1 communications, but the only user were Pine Plains Fire and School District.

On the East Mountain T3 system Pine plains Highway Dept is 5302491 and the school is 5304652. They are in the database. Fire Dept not logged on the T3 system yet if they use it.

I'm not 100% sure... I vaguely remember hearing them off the DC dispatch freq...

seagravebuff60,
it is just to say, they do know they need a license and that they do exist.
i worked at a company that thought they could just buy any old radio and use it.
the wife works at a place that bought boufeng and were using a police frequency, until i told them.

No... I think the concencess is that they don't... I'll troll around fg 13/14 and 11/12 and see if they do indeed use... TU... I will update as needed

The only time you will hear them on those channels if they are operating mutual aid with other fire districts. You won’t hear internal department communications on those channels.

Chances are if they do have a frequency for communicating amongst them self’s it’s probably simplex and not repeated.
