U/D: Pine Ridge Fire update... 10,000 acres have burned, 50 people have been evacuated and about 50 well pads are in its path. I-70 remains closed both directions.

Can anyone tell me some good frequencies to listen to? I live down in the valley. GJ area.

So far I monitored BLM Lands End for an hour or two earlier today and didn't hear anything. Was catching alot of traffic on Mesa MAC then they all switched over to MAC18.

Any suggestions other than BLM work and MAC 18?

One lane open each direction I-70 Debeque Canyon east of Grand Junction.

From the BLM Spokesman: Pine Ridge Fire is now 5% contained. A burnout near Pyramid Rock (just southwest of De Beque) was successful. The fire remains at 10,000 acres and has not jumped the Colorado River/I-70 yet, though it is still quite possible this afternoon. Though I-70 has been reopened (one lane in each direction), further closures are possible... even expected today

Try these freqs for starters.
168.65 national flight following of fire fighting aircraft.
168.625 air guard for aircraft
133.075 AM is shown in the TFR area for aircraft
Grand Junction airport
118.1 AM tower and CTAF (common traffic advisory frequency, used when tower is not manned)
122.925 AM unicom
121.7 AM ground control

Listen for other freqs, ie air to ground, air attack, etc.

133.075 - Air to Air
133.X75 (missed a number i think it might be 175) Air to Ground
All 8 MAAFs aircraft have been activated, With 4 of them all ready in Colo Spgs, I would imagine a few will be sent to this fire.
