Has anyone else noticed that the Pinellas System (South) has been hanging recently on various TG's? If I were a Patrol offier I'd be pretty pi**sed at having to put up with all that radio noise every day.

I know if someone accidently hits the emerg button on the raido a default talk group will stay keyed for a while.

I Think this is different from what you are hearing. they keep messing with a system that never needed messing with and this is what you get. - I glad my tax dollars are put to such good use.

About a month ago, somebody's mic got stuck open at the fire dispatch center for Lee County Emergency Operations. For almost five minutes you could hear some considerable office banter and swearing going out not only over the talkgroup, but broadcast over the VHF repeater frequency (154.430 MHz) as well. I'll bet someone got their butt chewed on account of it.

If today's traffic is any indication, it looks like the County finally fixed whatever was causing the TG 'hang' problem and the system is back to normal operation.
