Piney Island East Coast Electronic Warfare Range in eastern Carteret County NC had some air-to-air tactical ops practicing hitting enemy convoys and bridges and intersections with AC out of Pope AFB and Cherry Point....business as usual...except that they were operating on 143.75 Mhz AM !!!! ( thankfully no local CAP traffic active at the same time ! )
they musta picked the discrete freq at random as they usually operate around BT-11 on 149.325 Mhz AM.....( BT-11 is one of the SAM missle sites out there ).
