It was between 0300 and 0400. No signal information, but it was 6955 usb. It played some older music including "No way to treat a lady". Title ended with the word radio with too much echo. Heard the station sign off with a slowscan image being transmitted. I didn't have the equipment to print that out. I wonder if anybody heard it.

Hmmm...Wolverine Radio is well known for ending its broadcasts with a SSTV image...that might be what you heard...Mike

How sure of both the time and the frequency are you?

Wolverine, the station KA3JJZ suggested, was indeed on the night of March 24/25 (March 24 local time in US time zones, March 25 UTC). He was transmitting a “lady” them, his shows often have a theme to them. This night every song was about and contained the word Lady. He starts with older music and works up to more current music keeping in theme. The transmission was in USB mode. And the show did end in an SSTV transmission.

However, the frequency was 6950 kHz, not 6955 kHz, and the time was from 0416 to 0519 UTC, not between 0300 and 0400. From 0300 to 0400 pirate radio station X-FM was up on 6950 kHz in the AM mode.

The song you quote “No Way to Treat a Lady” started at 0508 UTC.

The SSTV image was sent starting at 0518 UTC. The image sent is below:

Several SW pirates put significant effort into their shows, but Wolverine is consistently one of the best thought out shows transmitted. It is always enjoyable and when Wolverine is on I typically pipe it over to the stereo and that is what the house is listening to. And considering it is USB the audio is very good also, well over 3 kHz in width. XFM has better audio in the AM mode (and 22+ kHz wide!), and Radio True North also has excellent audio, again in AM.

Wolverines complete play list for the night was (heard and recorded the entire show, but some song titles I missed taken from the list provided by user skeezix over in HFUnderground.com, thread here 6950 USB Wolverine Radio ):

Yes, I'm sure that's the station. The time was more guess work, and I guess the frequency was a miscount. I am visually impaired, so I entered 6955. I heard it there, but had to adjust the bfo down, so I'm sure it was 6950. Thanks for the info.
