Very interesting.
What rig and antenna are you using?
Using an AOR8000 scanner with a R/S discone about 35' agl; 75' RG8 cable to a Stridesburg PRE 20 amp which runs into a Blonder Tongue SDS 16 splitter.
I also use my BCD396XT and BDC436 for rxing the Pirates.

I also have several military discones I use portable for listening also. I made a small ground plane with a PL259 socket with 9" radials and a 9" radiator with a short piece of tv cable that I just hold and point for the best signal when I'm upstairs away from the radio room that works pretty good.

269.750 is the center of UFO channel 10 band plan Oscar
I've noticed some Pirate comms are off freq by several KHz to as much as10KHz. You don't really notice it unless you tune up\down from the center frequency.

I just thought of something really funny.
"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's frequency for me"
Sorry.

Hi Richard/Group,
Thanks for posting the freq. I was only just listening to them this afternoon here in the UK - I tend to search between a lower and upper limit based on activity last few months with the upper limit at 265 mhz so I will now extend that a little and let you know,
Thanks,
Kevin (East of England)
