Anyway, this is being looked into by various parties, so I am told.

I figured posting the question here would get an explanation to my misunderstanding, or investigation/ correction by proper authorities.

There is action on the new 700MHz system. So far I've only captured PD and DPW, we'll see what FD and the rest bring.

How'd you tell? All I've seen is TG 17101, 17104, 17661. All of which have been fully encrypted (makes sense, don't want randoms to know what potholes DPW is patching today)

Saw some other radios there, I guess things are happening:

How'd you tell? All I've seen is TG 17101, 17104, 17661. All of which have been fully encrypted (makes sense, don't want randoms to know what potholes DPW is patching today)

Context clues. If you watch, the transmissions are from the new Harris radios that have been worked up and installed since your first post. 1217xxx for PD, and 1247xxx for the other services. These are not originating from the Motorola APX radios going out with the UHF system.

I may be a few days late to the actual start of this, but there weren't group calls happening 1.5-2 weeks ago.

Fire Department will be cutover to new system in 3 weeks.

Seems like very little traffic outside PD (TG 17101). Only seeing 17661 and 17501 today (everything encrypted, no surprise there)

Now we wait for FD to get upgrades. I saw a couple of township vehicles (I think it's either code enforcement or the building official) that had their antennas changed to 7/800 1/4 waves.

I have been looking from time after hearing pages on 158.730, not much to see.

It is interesting that both South Plainfield and Piscataway page with different PL’s

That can’t work well for pagers on VHF when both transmit simultaneously. I can actually hear pages now that system audio was brought up.

And what this means is that our entire radio system and dispatch system has been upgraded and we are now connected with the county and all of our mutual aid immediately entities adjacent. We were just in a meeting as a matter of fact our OEM coordinator, Nick was able to get signals from Marlborough. So this system is quite far reaching and we're going to continue to program our fire departments. So this way the interoperability between the township and our mutual aid communities will be instantaneous and very reliable.
