Pittsburgh and Allegheny County

Hi,

I am finally gonna try this. I ordered my programming cable today. I have a Pro95 Scanner, and am looking forward to using the Win95 Software.

What I would like to know is: Are there databases already created for Pittsburgh, it's surrounding areas, and Allegheny county in general.

Also, can someone answer this. What is the difference between the pro94 and the pro95. The pro95 says dual trunking. What does the pro95 do that the pro94 doesn't?

I'm sure I will have many more questions.

As far as Allegheny County and surrounding areas go, I have a website with all the frequencies I have in my database. Try : http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/2376/pghradio.html
I am in the midst of updating it, so there are some things that may not show up right this second, but will be on there when I get (a round) to it. I have files for my Pro-96, and Pro-92. I think that the WinXX converter on Don Starr's page : http://www.starrsoft.com (and its free!!), will convert from the Pro-92 file to the Pro-95 file.

Where on the site you listed is there a link to download the frequencies in the Starrsoft format?

The page is great, and has every frequency imaginable, but, where is it in downloadable form that can be imported into Win9x.

You might want to attend the Pittsburgh Scanner Net meeting on Saturday, 11/6 - there will be a presentation on how to upload to the Pro-96 and there will be a lot of help there. Just bring your 96 along and have some fun.
