I have been considering getting a PSR-400 to replace my old PRO-136, but before I do, I would like to know how good the tone board is. I have two Uniden scanners (BCT15 and BC346XT), and when I have a PL tone applied to a channel, it takes as much as a second for them to detect the tone and open squelch. How long does it take the PSR-400?
Also, when scanning, the Unidens seem to miss around 100ms even with PL tones off or in search mode.
So basically: Does the PSR-400 ever miss the first part of a transmission, especially when a PL tone is applied to a channel?
