I'm about to purchase either the RS Pro-528 or the Pro-97. I believe the Pro-528 does not have PL capabilities. Wht's the benifet of having the PL option ?

Any info would be greaty appreciated.

I have a pro-92b, Pro-97 and just bought a used pro-2052. The pro-2052 doesn't do pl and I thought I wouldn't have a problem with it. Our police freq. uses a freq's with a pl and the county over uses the same freq and I'm continously picking up the next county and missing stuff in our county. I'm now double thinking my plans on keeping the 2052. Check the frequencies in your area to see if they use pl and if theres a county near by that also uses the same frquencies if they don't shouldn't be a big deal.
