Placer County: Grass Fire @ Hwy 80 & Sierra College

Multiple small grass fires reported near Sierra College Blvd & Hwy 80 in Placer County. Sacramento Metro Fire is responding using TAC A7. Fire Tac CDF Tac 5. Lots of traffic on various channels regarding this incident - Placer County Fire, CDF, Air Tacs. More to follow.

I listened to this incident for a while. I do believe they thought that a passing UP train might have caused this fire. They were stopping the eastbounder in Newcastle and sending a CalFire investigator to Newcastle. The bombers left the incident and followed the tracks to the waiting train to see if there were any other spot fires.
