Placer county sheriff freq code

HELLO Out there, we just bought our first scanner, having fun already....does anyone know the number for the CA Placer County Sheriff dispatch, we'd like to listen...or fire or something? is that available, we've tried searching but only find other counties....

Currently, 160.545 is the current Placer SO West Dispatch frequency. Here is the link to the Database page for Placer County located on this site. There are a few other Placer County West frequencies of interest you may want to program in.

They are currently building a VHF P25 digital trunked system.

I have heard reports that a control channel has been heard from the Auburn area on the system frequencies.

I show the frequencies as
161.8000
161.8125
161.8250
161.8375

If the info above is correct they should be about ready to start the west basin simulcast soon.

We had a thread going on the Placer trunked system but I am not able to find it now.

Hello and welcome to RadioReference.com!!! You might consider going to your "UserCP" and editing your location - I suspect you are in Colfax, not Colax.

Placer County sheriff uses several frequencies. The one provided above is the WEST dispatch frequency. There are also frequencies used for East dispatch, tactical, etc. Don't forget the VHF low frequency as I hear quite a bit on it as well.

I've heard their CC's from my house in Tracy, but it's been a while
