1) Are there still 3 Meca frequencies allocated to Hendricks county?

2) If so, is it possible to program only the control frequencies, the above 3 frequencies, and the talk group info to receive the Plainfield fire / police transmissions ... or is it still necessary to program all 30 or so Meca frequencies?

3) If the answer to (1) is yes, are the recently added Avon talk groups on the 3 frequencies? (... and if the answer to the first part of (2) is yes, will this also work with the Avon transmissions?)

4) Danville fire is using the SafeT system -- but Hendricks County doesn't have a site ... Is Danville using the frequencies associated with the Greencastle Site or the Mooresville Site?

Trying to get ready to program one of the older Radio Shack trunking radios (Pro 92)

Thanks,

Avon has 3 known talkgroups on MECA. You can program the control channels for MECA, then program only the TG's you want to hear, then put the bank in closed mode. This way only the programmed TG's will be heard. Avon doen't have "frequencies" assigned to them. They just use the pool of frequencies available like all the other users.

Hendricks County does have a site planned to be online before the end of the year. Danville has been heard on the Morgan County Tower. I am not sure about the Putnam County Tower.

Hope this helps....
