They don't use frequencies, they are on a trunked system.

I actually had a trunking scanner at one time but got rid of it because guess i was too dumb to understand it.Or how to operate it. Can anyone help??

First off go the home page on this site.
On the left hand side go to "Other Content" and click
on "Trunking Information". Read that section very carefully,
several times, and that should give you an insight as to how trunking
works. It is much too involved for anyone to type a long explanation
here.

All the trunked info you need is on this site.
Click on the RR Database and pull up the info
for your state.

After boning up on that material, if you any further specific questions.
We will be happy to try and answer them.
