Plainville Police

I noticed lately while dropping off students at the plainville schools that the plainville police ford crown victoria's are getting a UHF whip antenna added on the center of the trunklids. I don't have a scanner with me to do close call or anything like that. I wanted to point that out here since they are a VHF department. They still have the VHF whip along with the MDT hockey puck on the rooftops of the cars.

I am now wondering if the addition of the UHF antenna on their cars is for the CT STOCS UHF frequencies. My next guess would be for the UHF RAFS frequencies. I have not seen any new licenses come for plainville in the FCC database. I also know that the STOCS licenses are held by CT state agencies in the FCC database. I bring this up because now I have seen suffield cars now getting UHF antennas also.
