Light Plane Crash Near Meadowlake Airport

A small plane crashed near Meadowlake Airport late Thursday afternoon. It is believed the aircraft went down during landing at the private airport about ten miles east of Colorado Springs. The pilot was being treated at the scene by ambulance crews for minor injures. Judge Orr Road was closed at Highway 24 East and Curtis Road. There was some fuel spilled on the roadway itself and there is a power line down. It is reported to be a small single engine craft and the pilot was the only person on board.
