New Plane plotter user here.. Seeking advice for the most optimum setting of software preferences in PP for milair.

-alerting of only mil hex codes (ADxx /AExx series?)
-logging of only mil hex codes
-aircraft display Window to filter out all civ airliners

Are these options possible? Should I be feeding PP to something more user friendly? I messed around with the alert and report settings but quickly grew frustrated. Is this the right track? What does everyone else run with?

Equip is a R820T stick with RTL1090 controlling. DPD indoor SBS antenna. I run the PP wide open. Master user +MLATS. The latest SQB database is loaded however I can't open it up for display. What program is needed?

#1 For alerts of Military Aircraft;
Click on the green wrench at the top toolbar, go to "alert on" on bottom left corner, hit "match"

#2 For logging Military Aircraft;
I used this: Military Air planes with Mode-S ADS-B
It's a program that you can download that sends your logs to the website. You can search all of the other data too.

#3 For "blocking out" civ airlines;
I don't think there is a way to do that.

The PP Help file has a powerful and useful Search tab.

Also, the PlanePlotter Yahoogroup is by far the best place to learn about PP and all of the other resources that are available for its users.
