I have an SDS100 I would like to listen to the audio from through a 2020 Silverado. I’ve used adapters for the headphone jack and they don’t work. Are my only options an independent speaker or Bluetooth? If so, can you suggest a good speaker that I can use? Ideally, I’d like to have the audio through the truck’s speakers though.

Thanks. I know I can use Bluetooth. I’d like to know if anyone has figured anything else out. Thanks for your input though.

There are only two options that I know of and your truck doesn’t support one of them… mine doesn’t either (3.5mm patch cable).

Apple CarPlay doesn’t have anything to help. Not sure about Android Auto.

Have tried many scanners that had blue tooth to connect to my trucks radio. won't do it. It's like it knows its a scanner and wont allow it. If it does work for you, let us know.

I just looked up the "infotainment" manual for a 2020 Silverado and this what I found:

Auxiliary Jack
This vehicle has an auxiliary input
jack. This may be located in the
center stack or center console
under the armrest. Possible auxiliary
audio sources include:
. Laptop computer
. Audio music player
This jack is not an audio output. Do
not plug headphones into the
auxiliary input jack. Set up an
auxiliary device while the vehicle is
in P (Park).
Connect a 3.5mm (1/8 in) cable
from the auxiliary device to the
auxiliary input jack. When a device
is connected, the system can play
audio from the device over the
vehicle speakers.
If an auxiliary device has already
been connected, but a different
source is currently active, press
MEDIA on the center stack or touch
the Media icon on the infotainment
display to scroll through audio
source menus, until the AUX Input
source appears.

I had no problems with the Bluetooth setup, but the thumping audio (I have the HK system with a sub) was too much and I gave up on it.
