SDRTrunk Please help me configure SDRtrunk for my local sheriff department conventional p25

That's the sheriff's department I would like to listen to using my sdr dongle. I think it might be a conventional p25? I am using SDRtrunk and I think I have everything configured but I'm having trouble understanding what the control channel is. That is, if I'm even setting it up for the correct mode. I've only been doing this for about a week, can't you tell?

As far as the analog frequencies, I'm using SDRsharp and I'm not getting anything there either. I appreciate any input!

if its conventional there is no control channel just go new p25 punch in the freq and name and it should be good to go did you update the codec

Yes I update it every time I use the program
