I just bought a new BCD396T. When I tried to program a digital system I chose P25 but couldn't recieve anything. I tried programing it as a standard Mot. 800 and it worked. Why is this? Thanks for all help.

If it's a 3600 baud system, then it can use both analog and P25, so you need to use Mot 800.

If it is a 9600 baud P25 digital only system, then you use P25.

If it's a P25 system the database her will show it as : Project 25 Standard.
AP25 system is a 9600 baud CC and a Mot II or mixed mode is 3600 baud CC. If you program it as a P25 your telling the scanner it's 9600 baud when the system you had was 3600 baud.

Any system listed as Analog and Common Air Interface is a 3600 baud system. All 9600 baud systems are completely digital. This does lead to some confusion at first.
