I know it's an older model scanner, but it's one of my favorites. It turns on and is programmed properly, but as it scans it does not pick anything up. I have all local channels programmed but even the wx feature don't work. Batteries are good, it's not damaged, I don't know what the deal is, any insight?

PRO-92 symptoms

There are a couple of common problems with these scanners. First, when you open the squelch do you hear the "rushing" sound? If so it sounds like it could be a loose wire on the antenna connector. If not, it could be a bad volume or squelch pot.

Give us some more details on what it does do. Thanks.

Moved to the RS Forum.

Just as a side note, I own a couple of these (and a 2067). The 92's both have developed a slight "deafness" when first turned on lately (last 6 months or so). It improves the longer they are on so I suspect some aging on some component inside that gets better as it works. I have no intention of seeking a "fix" to this as they do work for what I need them to do. But just thought I would add that comment to the mix as I moved the thread.
