Please help the newbie!!!

Hello All, I AM READY TO PULL ALL OF MY HAIR OUT!!!!!!! OK, now that I've said that.... I just found this site in my attempts to figure out how to program my new Pro-163 and -164 radios. The manuals SUCK! I saw a link to a thread that supposedly is easier to program them, I will check it out later, I can't take it right at this moment! I just wanted to ask you guys about using my computer to program them? I have never done anything like this and am relatively new to this scanner stuff. Can I program the whole radio thru the computer, including all of the trunking information needed? I was hoping to get into Ham radio but if it's anything like I've dealt with for the past couple of night's, I don't know......... This "Firmware" that I have heard about, this is what I need to accomplish this task for Radio Shack radios? Thanks for any help/info you can send my way! Steve
