I need to have a uniden bc72xlt programed with Calgary ems, or fire is that possible? if so I will pay someone to program it for me. Is it true Calgary police are on digetal and I will have to buy a scanner for over $650 to here then thanx.

The uniden bc72xlt, cannot be programmed to listen CFD or Calgary EMS, as they are on 800MHz. However you can listen to CFD Voice Alert on 418.4875. you can listen quite a number of fire and EMS, around Calgary, such as FREMS, Stars, Cochrane EMS etc. I used to have a 72xlt. See the database(s) on this website. CPS is of course digital, and yes you need a pricey scanner to monitor them, but you can listen to RCMP on your scanner
