Pointless messages in the OT Wireless forum?

I read a message tonight that rubbed me the wrong way, it made reference to "pointless messages" in the Off Topic forum? What would one define as a pointless message... in an off-topic forum? Does every single message have to be about radio? Is every single QSO on Amateur Radio about radio? Don't people sometimes simply want to shoot the breeze and enjoy each others company, maybe even injecting a little humor without someone looking down their noses as being above the unwashed people simply trying to enjoy themselves?

There are some pretty funny and enjoyable threads, off topic Wireless is like a Tavern. Mostly has to do with radio, radio nostalgia and radio humor.

Good for a laugh.
