police cruisers around lexington??

I was on man o war blvd beside the airport heading east and they were aprox 3 dozen cruisers (all city pd's and county so's) from KY, IN + OH running lights and siren traveling west toward the blue grass highway- taking up both lanes of the highway!! Anybody know what was going on?? They did not appear to be in any hurry, it appeared they was actually driving pretty slow!!

Probably an LE funeral "escort", judging from the myriad jurisdictions and lack of speed.

that was my second thought, but no hearse, no p.o.v.'s, no dress uniforms, no civilians, and several of them had k-9's with them!!

We did have a K9 contest here this week

I dont know for a fact if thats what you saw but it was covered in the paper, for info try kentucky.com, this is local paper on line.

I don't know, could have been (k-9 comp.), but to tie up traffic like that during rush hour was a little un-called for!!
