Good deal I guess, the people that lived there in that house, It was on fire a week or so before, then the Cops blow there antenna up or what ever it was.

I wonder how often this kind of thing is genuine concern that something might be a bomb, vs how often the bomb squad just likes to blow stuff up. And I can't say I'd blame them for that - any kid in a fireworks store surely understands the appeal!

I'm a geocacher, and caches are occasionally mistaken for bombs and blown to smithereens by police. The cases where the cache is made of a length of PVC pipe and hidden in an urban area make sense. It makes less sense when the cache is a clear Tupperware container with a "geocaching" sticker in the middle of a forest preserve.

Tulsa PD has responded to a "suspicious looking object w/ wires sticking out" several times at one of the local theaters that turns out everytime to be a ran over light pole. They've even paged out bomb squad a couple times on it :lol:

I can see exactly how this happened, you win some you lose some ;)

A few weeks ago, College Station PD Bomb Squad responded to a medical office building when someone spotted a shoebox with the word "BOMB" written on it (it turned out to be full of paper).
