Police In Macomb County Shoot Robber

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. -- Police from Macomb County's Clinton Township have shot and killed a robbery suspect.
Officers received a call overnight from a pizzeria in town regarding an armed robbery.
Witnesses said the 35-year-old unidentified suspect fled in a purple Chrysler PT Cruiser. Police tried to stop the vehicle when it was spotted in Mount Clemens but the man darted through several streets.
He eventually pulled into a park and ride parking lot, got out of his car and pointed a gun at police. Officers fired their weapons, wounding the man.
The suspect later died at a local hospital
