Thank you.
Thank you.
Main reason I bought the STi Magnum was the fact it is not detectable
Can you elaborate on this? Police can detect radar detectors? I know it's not illigal to have one in many areas, but didn't think a passive device was detectable. Do you perhaps mean in plain sight?
Take notice of the pics at the end. Notice. There are no, for example, redlines, on his wall of fame LOL. The part of the article where the PO states they can pick up any detector out there is false though...
• Exclusive TotalShield™ Technology
Our TotalShield™ technology makes the STi MAGNUM completely invisible against any type of radar detector detector. Not only will it keep you unseen by the current VG2 and Spectre, it will be completely undetectable by any future threats as well.
Although I don't know if the K40 permanently-mounted unit is a "shielded" model, the results are the same. When you view "Trucker Versus Virginia State Police" on You Tube, you will witness something quite funny, stumped troopers.
Yes, their high-end radar detector detector certainly worked, but where is the unit in question? I don't know how shielded radar detectors stand up against the cop devices, but I think it is well worth the money.
If that PO was a bit more up on his detectors he could have firgured that out NP. If a PO has suspision that a vehicle has a RD on board where they are illegal, and cannot find or is not handed over voluntarily, they can impound it, search, remove, all at the owners expense. I would never be without an undetectable unit, that's for sure.
