COLDWATER, Mich. (WTVB) – Law enforcement departments around Branch County are about ready to switch over to the new 800 megahertz emergency radio system.
An additional article, with the switchover date being March 21, 2022 for all law enforcement agencies. Fire/EMS operations are already switched over to the new system as of February 14, 2022. So far, no problems have been reported.
This is a Branch County related question, Are the departments going to stay exclusively on the Branch Co System or are they going to use it and use the MPSCS as a back up?

Branch County went with a Kenwood P25, Phase II TRS. Currently, it's a stand-alone TRS, but they have plans to network it into the MPSCS. J and K Communications from Indiana installed the new radio system, and they have actually integrated one of the Kenwood P25 systems into the Indiana Hoosier SAFE-T TRS. As to when this happen in Branch County, is anyone's guess right now.

Is there a thread for discussing new TGs on this system? TG 67 is some kind of law enforcement patch. The voices change, but the Radio ID remains the same. RID = 1290202
