Hey guys, I was doing some frequency searches.

Found on digital frequency search that Pompton Lakes FD(that callsign) has a few NXDN frequencies.

Can anyone confirm their activity on them? I’ve only heard analog.

It doesn’t show them as NXDN in the RR database.

Thanks,

Nick

I've never heard any NXDN, and I monitor with CSQ. Most likely, they're pre-licensing for NXDN just like Ringwood did. Great catch, though!!
Funny thing is that the neighboring town of Riverdale's licenses for FD have been expired for several years now.
Another odd thing that is not only listed in the FCC licensed data, but also in the RR database is the 464.7125 frequency for Pompton Lakes EMS. I've never heard this frequency in use, except for a CW ID that transmits after someone keys up the repeater. However, I'm not really sure if this is the Pompton Lakes repeater or another agency?

Ok. Thanks.

Yeah the NXDN is only at this point licensed to their FD, as the PD channel is shared.

Ringwood afaik is still only analog.

Funny the EMS channel in Pompton is listed as DMR in the RR DB. Have you found that?

No, it's licensed for DMR, but all the key ups I've heard were just analog.

I’ll put that in and I’ll listen to it.

I always hear “27” their ems rig on pd. I’ll have to investigate.

It sounds like Ringwoods PD base is using an NX700 as their transmitter, as you can hear the Nexedge radio PTT side tone. I checked with the new NXDN capability on my 536 and they are not doing mixed mode, just analog.

Thank you for confirming! Good to know for at least now they’re still analog.
